Terms of Use

These terms govern the use of the Unveil Me app. In plain language: what you may do, what you may not, and what you can expect from us.
1. Scope and provider
The provider is Robin Wichmann (contact details in the imprint). These terms apply to the use of the Unveil Me app and the associated services.
2. Registration and minimum age
Use is reserved for people aged 18 and over. Sign-in works via “Sign in with Apple”. You may only upload your own, current photos and must not use photos or data of other people. One account per person is permitted.
3. Services
Free use
Unveil Me is free at its core: create a profile, discover, match, chat and use the tile reveal. Ad banners may be displayed in the free tier.
Optional paid services
Optional premium features may be offered (e.g. unlimited likes, extended filters, an ad-free experience). Purchase, term, renewal and cancellation are handled exclusively through the App Store of your Apple account; the applicable prices and conditions are shown to you in the app or in the App Store before purchase. A subscription renews automatically under Apple’s rules unless you cancel it. The tile reveal can never be bought – its pace is the same for everyone.
4. Conduct and content
- Only your own, current photos.
- Respectful behaviour. Reporting and blocking are possible at any time.
- No sharing of other people’s photos or messages.
The following in particular are prohibited:
- pornographic, violence-glorifying, hateful, discriminatory or illegal content;
- harassment, threats, fraud, spam and advertising;
- involving minors and impersonating someone else.
In the event of violations, we may remove content, issue warnings and temporarily or permanently suspend or terminate accounts.
5. Photos, comic veil and tile reveal
Your photos stay behind a comic veil until you release them tile by tile in a conversation. Revealing is voluntary – no one sees more of you than you choose to share. You retain the rights to your photos. For the operation of the app, you grant us a simple, non-exclusive right of use that serves only to store your photos, generate the comic veil from them and display both as intended within the app. This right ends when you delete your content or your account.
6. Liability
We provide the app with reasonable care but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and under the German Product Liability Act; for slight negligence only in the event of a breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. We accept no liability for the content and conduct of other users.
7. Termination and deletion
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate the user relationship for good cause, in particular in the event of violations of these terms.
8. Final provisions
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Should any provision be invalid, the remainder remains valid. We may amend these terms; we will inform you of material changes in good time and in an appropriate form.
